【摘要】:1.1Thispracticeprovidesguidelinesforcarryingoutacousticemission(AE)examinationsofYankeeandSteamHeatedPaperDryers(SHPD)ofthetypetomaketissue,paper,andpaperboardproducts.1.2Thispracticerequirespressurizationtolevelsusedduringnormaloperation.Thepressurizationmediummaybehightemperaturesteam,air,orgas.Thedryerisalsosubjectedtosignificantstressesduringtheheatingupandcoolingdownperiodsofoperation.AcousticEmissiondatamaybecollectedduringthesetimeperiodsbutthistestingisbeyondthescopeofthisdocument.1.3TheAEmeasurementsareusedtodetect,aswellas,localizeemissionsources.Othermethodsofnondestructivetesting(NDT)maybeusedtofurtherevaluatethesignificanceofacousticemissionsources.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
